In the opening, we explore the multifaceted meanings of attention in an era of AI content and political disinformation. The films reflect on how attention is shifting, how cinema directs it and how one might even resist it: from past media eras and mobile imagery to the radical withdrawal of visibility. Ultimately, it is also about how we turn toward one another and remain attentive to our togetherness. In the cinema, our focus on what matters is sharpened and we open our eyes.
