Charleys Tante

To help his younger brother (Alfred Böhm) and his friend Charley (Peter Vogel) out of a tight spot, a young diplomat (Peter Alexander) dresses up as a woman. Posing as Charley’s wealthy aunt from Brazil (Maria Sebaldt), he is supposed to act as the chaperone for two attractive Swedish women on a date. When the real aunt unexpectedly turns up, he finds himself in a spot of trouble...

Like many films before it, this film is based on Brandon Thomas’s farce Charley’s Aunt, which has been transposed here to the present day.
