“A career spanning six decades, more than 30 albums, and to the world she’s still just Mick Jagger’s ex-girlfriend.” – We don’t see the assessment quite so bleakly, with which the fictional Ministry of Not Forgetting, headed by Tilda Swinton, invites singer, songwriter and icon Marianne Faithfull for a conversation. Shortly before her death, she is able to tell her own story – and does so with great coolness and style. Directed by Jane Pollard and Iain Forsyth, who already demonstrated with 20,000 DAYS ON EARTH and Nick Cave that they have a knack for unusual musical portraits, memories and myth merge with the help of countless images, recordings and interviews. Eccentric, imaginative and rebellious – just like Marianne Faithfull herself.
