Auf dem Weg

When travel writer Pierre Girard falls several storeys from a balcony after a wild night of partying while drunk, he is seriously injured. Waking from his coma, Pierre sets off on a journey through France against the advice of his doctors and his family. He sets off on foot from the Mercantour National Park to the Cotentin. It becomes a unique and timeless journey on which he experiences country life, the beauty of France and a kind of rebirth of his own. Loosely based on the novel "Sur les chemins noirs" by French author Sylvain Tesson.
