“It’s what makes me happy, and this is the starting point for me now.” Since the birth of her child, the dancer Mara has felt lonely and cut off from her creativity. Now her son is older. Together with the director, her friend Klara, she is finally planning a dance performance again. Then she becomes pregnant a second time. Back to square one. The two try to adapt the performance to their changed circumstances. But Mara feels so consumed by motherhood that she has no energy, inspiration, and certainly no time left for creative expression. A study of the search for creative freedom, the attempt to stay true to oneself—and a film about a wonderful, artistically inspiring female friendship.
