Wizards

WIZARDS is a 1977 American post-apocalyptic science-fantasy animated film that depicts a battle between two wizards: one representing the forces of magic, the other those of industrial technology. The film is notable as Ralph Bakshi’s first fantasy film and his first family-oriented feature; until then, he had primarily been known for films set in urban environments, such as FRITZ THE CAT, HEAVY TRAFFIC, and COONSKIN.

Made on a budget of $1.2 million, the film grossed $9 million at the box office and gradually developed a cult following.
