When You Open the Door

Miki works at an architecture firm. But judging by her lack of enthusiasm and tired expression, it is clear that the job does not really fulfil her. Instead, she drifts through her everyday life in a dreamy, absent-minded state. Then, after a bizarre incident during her lunch break, her reality begins to unravel. She is brutally attacked by a beast, but when she tells her boyfriend about it that evening, her wounds have disappeared. Before long, Miki is just as unsure as we are in the cinema about what was merely a dream and what actually happened. As the boundaries between different states of consciousness begin to blur, the story grows increasingly surreal, infused with werewolves and female desire, until Miki’s true nature finally emerges.
