Amateur inventor Wallace and his clever dog Gromit embark on their first adventures—all of which were either Oscar-winning or Oscar-nominated. When the pair run out of cheese in "A Grand Day Out", they quickly cobble together a rocket and blast off for the moon, because "everybody knows the moon is made of cheese." A pair of high-tech "Techno-Trousers"—hijacked by a sinister penguin—take center stage in "The Wrong Trousers", which culminates in a breakneck chase sequence. "A Close Shave" marks the debut of Shaun the Sheep, the star of later Aardman films; this time, the duo must use their ingenuity to thwart a devious sheep rustler.
