vienna shorts: Reflected Lights – Program 1 In Person And Carte Blanche: Viktoria Schmid

What I love about cinema is the space and time it gives us to really look and listen. Cinema offers us (flashes of) light expansions of how we think and see. This carte blanche brings together some of these reflecting lights: we never act alone, but are embedded in a cosmos of many people’s ideas and thoughts. There is nothing more rewarding than discovering a work that enters into dialogue with one’s own. My own films also create such moments of illumination in my everyday life as a filmmaker, because they keep bringing new adventures into my life.
