Dense & Disturbing presents four documentary short films that intertwine personal perspectives with political realities while experimentally exploring different cinematic forms: from the body to the gaze, from staged scenes in front of the camera to family confrontations. Protests in Iran, war in Lebanon and authoritarian tendencies in Germany collide with questions of memory, responsibility and self-positioning. Archive footage, social media and subjective images come together to form a many-voiced panorama of our present – dense & disturbing.
