Trees sway in the wind; there is dancing, laughing and hide-and-seek. Yet there is also what remains unsaid—power, fear, vulnerability. In Birdsong of Refuge, relationships with each other, ourselves and nature come into focus, as do the shifting realities of identities and bodies. Play and gravity, (every)day and (dream)night collide. Queerness becomes a phenomenon of the in-between, cutting across space and time, and birdsong cuts through the silence.
