Sebastian Brameshuber's acclaimed documentary UND IN DER MITTE, DA SIND WIR observes a group of teenagers in rural Upper Austria as they grow up. Based on the disruption of a memorial service in 2009 by some local youths with Nazi slogans and softguns, he paints a nuanced picture of the rural life of a young generation and shows how the ‘boundaries’ between rascal pranks and neo-Nazism merge.
