Toxic Harvest
Profit-driven agricultural corporations make money by selling toxic substances, including pesticides that have long been banned in Europe. These pesticides continue to be exported to other countries, where they contaminate soil, water, and food. Above all, however, they harm the people exposed to them. TOXIC HARVEST tells the stories of people in South Africa who are exposed to highly toxic pesticides on a daily basis and shows the devastating health consequences they suffer as a result. But the film also offers hope: there is another way, through agroecological farming without pesticides.
TOXIC HARVEST gives a voice to people suffering from pesticide poisoning and draws attention to the devastating consequences of pesticide exports from Europe.
