Three Sisters

The documentary follows three sisters, Lelya, Yulia, and Natalya, in their everyday lives. They live in the Khabarovsk Krai, a region in Russia’s Far East, surrounded by the taiga. Here, the forest is home, and the bear is considered an ancestor. Only around 1,200 members of the Indigenous Udege people remain. They belong to the Tungusic peoples, and only a few still speak their native language.
