In her portrait of a young film student in search of her own creative voice, English auteur filmmaker Joanna Hogg tangibly incorporates her own experiences. Julie (played by Tilda Swinton's daughter Honor Swinton Byrne) is a typical daughter from a good family: endeavouring to do her best and fit in. Anthony, a man with many secrets, quite a few of them dark, doesn't suit her at first glance. But he tempts her to take more risks, to play with fire.
