The Shining (Extended Cut)

Jack Torrance takes a job as the caretaker of a remote mountain hotel that closes for the winter. He moves into the deserted Overlook Hotel with his wife Wendy and their son Danny, hoping to work on his novel in peace. But before long, strange and terrifying events begin to unfold. As Jack gradually descends into madness, Danny, who possesses a psychic gift known as “the shining”, becomes aware of the hotel’s dark secrets. Stanley Kubrick’s masterful adaptation of Stephen King’s novel is a hypnotic nightmare that has secured its place in cinema history with its chilling atmosphere, haunting imagery and Jack Nicholson’s legendary performance as a father slowly losing his grip on reality.
