Probably the most popular convergence of queer and horror culture, perfectly crafted in ultra-camp aesthetics and completely infused with Tim Curry's sensational performance as Frank-N-Furter, the "sweet transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania", who seduces an average couple stranded in his pleasure palace into various transgressive acts. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the apotheosis of the midnight movie and a musical feat, as well as a eulogy to all "creatures of the night" with the accompanying call to break the shackles of bourgeois morality.
