The Party
Janet invites her closest friends to her home to celebrate her appointment as a minister. Soon, however, unsavoury secrets begin to bubble to the surface and the guests’ relationships start to crumble one by one. There’s Jinny and Martha, who are expecting triplets; there’s Janet’s husband, whose career has always taken a back seat, and who drops a terrible bombshell. Tom is completely high and waiting for his wife, Marianne, but he is by no means the only one… What was intended as a sophisticated celebration in left-liberal British circles soon descends into physical altercations and bizarre worldviews.
