The Obsessed
Giuseppe is a young man who devotes himself wholeheartedly to anything that sparks his vivid imagination. Whether it is a sport he wants to master, a melody or language he wants to learn, a detective case he wants to solve, or any number of other pursuits, he throws himself into each new passion with complete dedication, only to abandon it as soon as something else captures his attention. His one constant companion is Cielo, a mouse he takes in and eventually learns to communicate with. One day, Giuseppe meets Pechka, a young balloon seller. Fascinated by her, he makes her his latest obsession. But rather than simply pursuing her romantically, Giuseppe is determined to make her happy and, above all, to make her laugh. What he does not realise is that this will be far from easy, though he can draw on the unusual skills he has acquired through his previous passions. What begins as a quirky romantic adventure gradually takes a more emotional turn, raising questions about where love ends and obsession begins.
