The Lodger

A mysterious stranger arrives in a London rocked by a series of murders. The family who takes him in soon begins to doubt whether he is truly who he claims to be. The film is considered Hitchcock's first fully developed work in the thriller genre and already displays the visual precision that would later become his trademark, blending elements of German Expressionism with British crime fiction tradition.
