THE FIVE OBSTRUCTIONS

What happens when you systematically put obstacles in the way of a perfectionist? Here, Lars von Trier forces Jørgen Leth to reshoot his short film *THE PERFECT HUMAN* five times—under increasingly absurd conditions. What begins as a game turns out to be a study of power plays and artistic dependencies, giving von Trier the opportunity to cast himself as both a driving force and a saboteur.
