The Everything Pot
With summer come light-hearted comedies, this time set in Los Angeles and the beautiful homes on the picturesque hills. Two couples with a considerable age gap are swept, with energy and a languid sensuality, from the heat of summer lethargy into prudish jealousy and absurd misunderstandings. A comedy of errors and confusion, in which nothing more significant is at stake than the ‘Everything Pot’ hinted at in the film’s title – a wedding gift. The film seeks answers to dormant feelings and relationship dilemmas between the generations, but also to the infamous work-life balance, which here becomes more of a work-love balance. A debut film by Sherise Dorf, starring Lisa Edelstein as Rachel in the lead role.
