The malevolence of little Mary Tilford could be cinematically placed somewhere between ROSEMARY'S BABY and Damien Thorn from the OMEN series. The small Wright & Dobie private school for girls, named after the headmistresses (Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine), would definitely have been better off not admitting her as a student. Thus, classmates and staff suffer under the reign of terror of the calculating brat.

What could serve as the content of a slapstick comedy is here the starting point of a highly disturbing drama. Because when the devastating misinterpretations and insidious lies about what children's eyes have seen and heard reach adult and biased ears, the lives of the leading teachers are threatened with destruction.
