Subuk/Backwards

Inspired by true events, director Jacek Lusinski shows in ŚUBUK / BACKWARDS the years-long struggle of Maria, a young woman and single mother of a boy with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), for social acceptance and understanding for her son. Maria acts unconventionally and persistently, while at the same time motivating and inspiring others with the condition.

With a tragicomic tone, ŚUBUK / BACKWARDS tells a poignant story full of emotion, optimism and gentle humour about female strength, joie de vivre, a different perception of the world and the hidden potential that lies within each of us.
