Strange River
During a summer cycling trip along the Danube, a Catalan family travels from one riverside stop to the next. While his parents reminisce about their youth and his younger brothers constantly seek his attention, sixteen-year-old Dídac prefers silence and solitude. Still heartbroken over an unrequited love, he keeps his feelings to himself, convinced that no one would understand him anyway. Then, at every stop along the journey, he begins to catch glimpses of the same mysterious boy, in the water and on the riverbank, sometimes far away, sometimes startlingly close. With each encounter, Dídac finds himself drawn deeper into the stranger's enigmatic presence.
