Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Adam (Howard Keel) is the eldest of seven brothers (Russ Tamblyn, Jeff Richards, Tommy Rall, Marc Platt, Matt Mattox, Jacques d'Amboise) and lives with his family far away from the big city. He decides to go to the city to find a woman for life. On his very first day, he meets Milly (Jane Powell), who is immediately persuaded to marry him and move to the country with him. When they arrive back home, his brothers are astonished.

But Milly also discovers that they are all living together in the same house. She decides to get the rude hillbillies, who are shy of women, on their toes so that they too can find a wife one day. After Adam reads about the theft of the Sabine women by Remulus, he has an idea of how he can help his brothers...
