In postwar Zagreb, the young partisan Tomislav falls in love with Beba, a ballet dancer from a middle-class family. Caught between social divides and political pressure, their relationship is put to the test. Rajko Grlić’s cult film premiered at Cannes in 1981 (Un Certain Regard) and won the Grand Prix in Valencia.
