Romans d’adultes: Sur le chemin de l’indépendance, vol. 1 (Erwachsensein: Auf dem Weg in die Unabhängigkeit)

Seven lives, seven years, four films. From 2002 to 2009, Béatrice Bakhti followed the everyday lives of Jordann, Virginie, Mélanie, Xavier, Rachel, Aurélie and Thys in Yverdon. In order to protect the children's privacy, the films were not shown until 2009. When asked whether, looking back, they would repeat this film experiment, they gave different answers: "I'll wait and see how the audience reacts" (Xavier), "I would convey my feelings better" (Thys), "Not again" (Virginie). However, in 2016, after a break of seven years, almost all of the now 26-year-old protagonists are back. Only Virginie and Aurélie have dropped out. Jordann reveals a dark side of his life. Thys talks openly about his relationship with his partner Jean-Luc. Mélanie and Xavier talk about their respective careers as a personnel officer and engineer, while Rachel addresses society's misogynistic double standards.
