Romans d’ados: Les illusions perdues – Episode 3 (Teenageralter: Verlorene Illusionen)
In this third episode of the Romans d'ados series, our protagonists are 15 and 16 years old. Over time, they have emancipated themselves from their parents and parental figures, which is also reflected in the cinematic dispositif: Even in the absence of the filmmaker, they now regularly record intimate moments of their everyday lives themselves, which leads to funny and touching monologues and self-dramatizations. They talk about their friendly, romantic and sexual relationships, traumatic experiences and the burden of social norms. Many of them have their first work experience as apprentices or in odd jobs. It is not so much the work that they find difficult, but rather how they deal with the money they earn. As in the previous episodes, the micro-story is repeatedly placed in a larger geopolitical context through audio reports from the news. (Marion Biet / Nicole Kandioler / Isabella Reicher)
