Robin and Marian

In what is probably the most unusual Robin Hood adaptation, the youthful vigor of the outlaws gives way to the composure of old age. The disillusioned hero attempts to rekindle his relationship with Lady Marian, which also brings his nemesis, the Sheriff of Nottingham, back into action. The almost melancholic recollection of past ideals underscores the sense of a double return: after a ten-year break, another film featuring Audrey Hepburn.
