One moment Angela and Ernest are sitting together in a bar, sharing the thrilling moments of a first flirtation; the next, they find themselves as partners in crime – QUEEN & SLIM – on the run from the authorities in a turquoise Pontiac, after Slim shoots a policeman in self-defence. Somewhere in the midst of a time that races yet stands still, between white horses and the visual delights of endless stretches of countryside, their affinity for one another finds its spark in the ecstasy of crime.
