Queen: Budapest
On July 27, 1986, Queen played to 80,000 enthusiastic fans at the largest concert the Népstadion in Budapest had ever seen. It was part of the legendary Magic Tour, the band’s final tour with their lead singer. This original concert film, featuring Queen classics such as “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “I Want to Break Free,” “We Are the Champions,” and many more, has now been newly scanned and beautifully remastered in 4K, with a dynamic new audio mix.
Three years before the fall of the Berlin Wall, it was the first “Western” stadium rock concert to take place behind the Iron Curtain. The Hungarian authorities and the country’s film industry considered the concert so significant that they brought together the finest cinematographers and technicians in the country to capture it for posterity.
