As the frontman of a wedding band, Rick (Paul Rudd) creates a lively atmosphere and stirs up strong emotions every evening, yet his own music career has never quite taken off as he’d hoped. That is, until he meets Danny (Nick Jonas) at a gig – a former boyband star whose heyday is now several years behind him. An immediate creative spark flies between the two musicians, and during a spontaneous, late-night jam session, a whole new energy suddenly emerges. As a result, not only does Danny return to the limelight with renewed confidence, but Rick also begins to believe in his own voice once more. When Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into a number one hit, Rick finally sees the chance to claim the fame he deserves. The only question is, how far is he willing to go to get it?
