Pan si dong (The Cave of the Silken Web)

The fantastically bizarre silent film "The Cave of the Silken Web" was long considered lost before it was rediscovered in a Norwegian film archive in 2011 and largely restored. When the monk Tang Xuanzang is captured in a cave by spider demons disguised as seductive women, his companions’ attempts to rescue him turn into a magical spectacle, brought to life with cinematic ingenuity.
