Jobs are a major issue in Burkina Faso. The young women at a mechanics school in the country’s capital, Ouagadougou, find themselves at a निर्ण­sive stage of their lives, where their dreams, hopes, and courage collide with opinions, fears, and societal expectations of what a woman should be. Using engaging narrative techniques, Theresa Traore Dahlberg portrays their final years at school while also capturing the challenging past and present of the country.
