Olivia
Fuego is Olivia’s world. At night, she roams the surrounding countryside collecting insects. It seems as though a grown woman and her father are leading a simple life here – yet time, space and existence soon begin to dissolve in all directions in Sofía Petersen’s feature film debut. When her father fails to return from his job at the slaughterhouse one day, Olivia leaves the safety of her familiar surroundings and sets out in search of him: a journey to the self through light and shadow, brilliantly captured on 16mm film with an intense soundscape.
