No Good Men

This romantic comedy from Afghanistan is set before the Taliban took power in 2021. Naru, a television camerawoman, hates all men after being repeatedly cheated on by her boyfriend. Now she lives with her son in her parents’ one-room apartment in Kabul, but under Afghan law, her son belongs to his father. At work, she falls in love with the married Qodrat—is he a carbon copy of her ex-husband, or is there actually a good man in Afghanistan? And will Naru manage to keep her son?
