Nahnou Fil Dakhel
After more than a decade, Farah returns to Tripoli to look after her ageing, widowed father Mustapha. The political crisis in Lebanon has also reached her city. But there is a secret refuge: Mustapha's weekly poetry club, where a small group of men meet to exchange poems in classical Arabic over sweets and in heated verbal battles. Farah decides to join the club. When Mustapha's health deteriorates and a nationwide uprising breaks out, poetry becomes their chance for one last conversation.
NAHNOU FIL DAKHEL tells the story of a special daughter-father relationship and the escape into the healing world of poetry in a country full of chaos with a great deal of humor and empathy.
In the presence of director Farah Kassem.
