Mugarik Gabe
The documentary sheds light on the intertwined identities of musicians from the Basque Country and Kurdistan—two geographically distant regions linked by a shared history of resistance, struggle, and the assertion of cultural identity. Through musical encounters and collaborative creative processes, the film demonstrates how art and music can become a language capable of transcending physical and political borders.
The film depicts a human journey of solidarity, remembrance, and the pursuit of freedom, in which the personal and collective experiences of the musicians reveal profound connections between the two peoples. It presents music as a space for resistance and encounter—a realm where identities are reaffirmed and boundaries begin to blur.
