Mr. Emmanuel

Mr Emmanuel, a Russian Jew living in London, sets off for Nazi Germany. A Jewish boy has arrived in England on a Kindertransport, and his mother, who stayed behind, has stopped getting in touch. What begins as a search soon turns into a perilous quest: Mr Emmanuel comes under the scrutiny of the Gestapo and is confronted with open anti-Semitism. He eventually finds support where he least expects it.
