Mein Bruder, der Superheld

Jack (Francesco Gheghi) always wanted a little brother to play with. When Gio (Lorenzo Sisto) is finally born, his parents tell him that his brother is someone truly “special.” In Jack’s imagination, Gio becomes a superhero with incredible powers, just like in his comic books.

But as time passes, Jack learns the truth: his brother has Down syndrome — a reality Jack chooses to keep a secret. When he starts high school and falls in love with Arianna (Arianna Becheroni), he hides Gio’s existence from her and his new friends. But how can you expect to be loved when you’re hiding such an important part of yourself?

Soon, the truth comes out, and Jack realizes that Gio’s energy and vitality are truly contagious. Gio’s attitude really does change the world — just like a real superhero.
