MASK is a moving drama about Rocky Dennis (Eric Stoltz), a teenager suffering from a rare bone disorder, and his unconventional mother Rusty (Cher). The film explores themes of exclusion, friendship and the search for normality in a world that often judges solely by appearances. Eric Stolz, as Rocky, delivers a powerful, sensitive performance, whilst Cher, as Rusty, plays a feisty, determined mother who will do anything to ensure her son leads a fulfilling life.

The tone of the film is both tender and realistic. It avoids sentimentality in favour of an honest, sometimes harsh portrayal of love and care. MASK celebrates human dignity and the power of community, not least through the biker culture that offers Rocky protection and a sense of belonging.
