MARINA ABRAMOVIĆ THE ARTIST IS PRESENT accompanies the artist as she prepares for perhaps the most important moment of her life: a major new retrospective of her work at the Museum of Modern Art. Receiving a retrospective in one of the most important museums in the world is a milestone to be very happy about. For Marina, it's much more: it's a chance to finally silence the question she's been hearing again and again for four decades: ‘But why is this art?’
