The shock is immense when Wakako’s husband suddenly collapses and is rushed to hospital unconscious. A housewife with two children, Wakako suddenly finds herself on her own. But there is worse to come: she discovers that her husband has lost his job for embezzling company funds, leaving the family buried in enormous debt.

Desperate, she accepts a mysterious offer and is sent to Singapore to smuggle gold bars into Japan. There, she meets Kiyoe, a researcher whose career has stalled, and Mayu, a pregnant single woman working at a hostess club. The three women have little in common, but their shared desperation quickly turns into friendship.

After successfully completing their first smuggling operation, they decide to continue on their own. What begins as a secret means of survival soon becomes an intoxicating journey towards money, freedom, and independence. As the women grow bolder, their business expands, along with their greed, and the boundaries of morality begin to blur. When their trust in one another starts to crumble, reality catches up with the trio with ruthless force.
