Luchs

Duration82min.

In the heart of the Jura Mountains, as the winter mists clear, a peculiar call pierces the forest. The beautiful silhouette of a Eurasian lynx stealthily moves through the beeches and firs. He calls out to his mate. A fleeting couple forms.

This is the beginning of the story of a lynx family. Their lives unfold in the rhythm of the seasons, with the birth of the young, the learning of hunting techniques, the conquest of territory, but also the dangers that lurk around them.

We follow the male, the female, and their young, discovering a universe that is so close to ours yet still unknown. A true fairy tale, where chamois, peregrine falcons, foxes, and ermines bear witness to the hidden life of Europe's largest wildcat. Although the lynx is an indispensable predator for the balance of the forest, its presence remains fragile in an environment dominated by humans.

As rare as encounters with this extremely discreet wildcat may be, it is extraordinary to discover their daily lives in the wild, in their natural habitat.
