Year2022

Duration100min.

Spring 1945, a train with hundreds of Jewish survivors is stranded near a small village in eastern Germany that is occupied by the Red Army. The village is forcibly converted into a refugee camp by the Soviets, to the displeasure of the German population, and quarantine is imposed to contain the typhus epidemic that has broken out. But amid deep mistrust, despair and the desire for retribution, an unexpected alliance of three women is formed. At times, almost reluctantly, a cautious bond develops between the German, the Russian sniper, and the Dutch Jew - anything but natural given the different languages and biographies.
