At 55, Anne (Sophie Marceau) is enjoying her newfound freedom for the first time since her children moved out. However, her daily routine is thrown into disarray when her 23-year-old daughter Louise (Thaïs Alessandrin) moves back in following professional and personal setbacks. This unplanned cohabitation brings differing life plans and expectations to light. Shortly afterwards, further news arrives that changes Anne’s situation: her son Théo (Victor Belmondo) tells her that she is soon to become a grandmother. Between living with Louise again and this new family role, Anne’s perspectives shift. Familiar structures dissolve, whilst new possibilities and unexpected emotional impulses emerge. In the face of these developments, Anne must realise that life plans rarely follow a straight path.
