Duration 94 min.

DENGÊ KILÎTAN – Voices and Locks
İlham Bakır | 20 min | Kurdish/Armenian with English subtitles

The friendship between two children—one Armenian, the other Kurdish—suffers under the state-sanctioned oppression of Armenians. Forty years after emigrating to the USA, Gaspar returns to his village to trace his childhood memories; will he find what he is hoping for?

THE MANUSCRIPT
Jiyar Jahan Fard | 12 min | German/Kurdish with German subtitles

A writer is working on a screenplay that recounts a few hours of her life, sending each page she completes to a director friend. While the author lives in Iran, the director—based in Germany—imagines the entire filmmaking process from his own home. Suddenly, the writer hears sounds signaling the arrival of the regime’s security forces.
Austrian premiere.

YERLI YURTSUZ – Rootless Resident
Riza Oylum | 62 min | Armenian/Kurdish/Turkish with English subtitles

This film explores Yervant Demirci’s efforts to connect with his Armenian heritage—navigating labels that identify him as both Kurdish and Turkish-Armenian—while focusing on themes of cultural identity, heritage, and historical trauma in modern-day Turkey and Armenia.
