Kramer vs. Kramer
Ted Kramer rushes through life like someone who is always one step behind: advertising campaigns, client meetings, and a daily routine that leaves no room to breathe. When his wife Joanna packs her bags and walks out one evening, he is left alone with a son he loves but barely knows. Their first days together feel like an almost impossible test. Yet, out of confusion and uncertainty, father and son gradually begin to forge a genuine bond.
Months later, Joanna returns and seeks custody of their son, shifting the story into a realm where emotion and the law collide in deeply uncomfortable ways. Rather than portraying a heroic courtroom battle, the film follows two people struggling to conceal their own vulnerability while a judge decides what is supposed to be "in the best interests of the child."
