Not for the faint of heart: KARMADONNA begins with a phone call and, within minutes, transforms into a nightmarish descent into hell. Yelena is just 37 days away from giving birth to her first child when a stranger’ s voice forces her into a cruel game: if she fails to carry out every instruction, her unborn baby will die. What initially seems like a macabre prank escalates into a supernatural threat from which there appears to be no escape. Blending dark humour, uncompromising intensity, and nerve- shredding suspense, Serbian debut director Aleksandar Radivojević tells the story of a woman pushed to her moral and physical limits.
